Measure the distance in inches between the floor and the
bottom of the door or platform where the staircase will
begin.
Divide that height by the intended riser height (7", 7.25",
7.5", 7.75" or 8"*)
EXAMPLE: The distance
between the floor and the bottom of the door is 94". Let's
say I have chosen a riser height of 7.75".
94" divided by 7.75" =
12
The number of risers
I would need would be 12
The number of steps I would need would
be 11 |
